Just Global Governance: Review Essay

Neil Anthony Hibbert

In recent years, global justice literature has seen a turn towards theorizing appropriate normative requirements for global governance.  This review essay addresses this turn by considering recent contributions made by Nicole Hassoun, Aaron James and Mathias Risse.  It presents their repsective interpretations of the justice-generating dimensions of global governance and the principles they argue should govern these practices.  It concludes with a critical assessment that outlines potential grounds for a synthesized approach based on connections between global political legitimacy and justice.
